Barack Obama’s campaign got wind of oppo researcher Stephen Marks’ plans to air the “The Real Barack Obama” ad produced by his 527 group pH for America on five TV stations in the battleground states of PA and MI starting this week, because his “smear-fighting” Web site has launched an attack on the attack ad.
Referring to him as a “career smear peddler,” a “trickster” and a “scam artist,” the Obama campaign does not mention Marks by name, but coyly links to an entry on SourceWatch instead.
Obama’s "Fight The Smears" Web site claims that at 2:09, the YouTube version of the ad – which has gotten 4 million hits in the three months since it’s been posted – is too long to air on TV and that “the video quality is far too low for it to be a real ad.” The Obama campaign warns:
Whatever you do, don’t give this scam artist any money! … Make no mistake: this “ad” will never run.
Marks says that pH for America has taken the YouTube version of the ad and re-cut it into 1-minute and 2-minute spots that will air 42 times during the first week of October. The ads are supposed to start running today in three PA cities (Pittsburgh, Altoona/Johnstown and Erie) and two MI cities (Lansing and Flint).
Do those children and their parents have any clue about “Obama’s forgotten people”?
Ask the tenants of Dear Leader’s financier Tony Rezko, whose tenants froze for months during a Chicago winter because Rezko didn’t manage the properties Obama’s influence gave him the means to buy up.
Ask the mother of the little boy who died because Dear Leader’s close financial ally, Cullen Davis, couldn’t bother to maintain the iron fencing on the former public housing, which fell and crushed the little boy to death. (Watch that video, you privileged children and parents.)
Ask the union employees of Maytag to whom Dear Leader promised he’d work hard to keep their jobs in Illinois, but when Dear Leader took money from the billionaire scion of the Crown family and a major owner of Maytag, it so happens that Dear Leader never even mentioned those Maytag workers to the one man with the influence to affect those workers, all of whose jobs left the country.
Obama's Forgotten People (Video)
This isn't the type of change any of us are looking for Senator Obama.
You Tube pulls a popular anti-Democrat video off the web (updated)
C. Edmund Wright You Tube and Warner Music Group today pulled a highly popular video that very succinctly and clearly spelled out the roots of the current economic crisis.
The 9:59 video entitled "Burning Down the House: What Caused Our Economic Crisis" played four different songs under a fast moving video sequence that very clearly tied Democrats like Chris Dodd, Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson and Barack Obama to policies and corruption related to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It cleverly showed how the "affordable mortgage" programs sent an economic virus through the entire economy and showed Republican efforts to intervene and regulate being blocked.
Update: Update: Daniel J. Bianco writes in, poiting out that head of the Warner Music Group's political contributions this year are going exclusively to Democrats.
The video can be found on YouTube on various channels. If not, we've saved it. If you were unable to see the video, you can do so here.
Question: How many pro-Obama videos use Warner Music Group artists without having it removed? If you're going to get pissy about anti-Obama videos using your music, be consistent and demand the same of pro-Obama videos.
